About Kids Club
Kids Club is a program for students in kindergarten through 5th grade. It is provided for patrons of Kearney School District whose jobs require them to be away from home during the before- and after-school hours. Kids Club provides a variety of fun and educational activities for our children, including arts and crafts, dramatic play, music, gym time and computer games, to name just a few. A qualified staff is present at each Kids Club site. The cost of the program varies based on the services needed and is based on 174 student/school days.
The program is open on days that school is in session. We also serve families at two sites during Parent-Teacher Conference days and teacher professional development days for an additional charge. Kids Club is available during the district's summer school program, which is typically in June. In July through early August, Kids Club hosts a special "Summer Expeditions" program. The summer programs require separate enrollment forms, which will be available in the spring each year.
Kids Club Snow Day Sign Up
Parents/guardians will have the opportunity to sign their children up for Kids Club care when KSD cancels school due to inclement weather or other causes. Snow-day sign-ups are for families with children who are currently enrolled in Kids Club. The sign-up form will open at 6 a.m. on the morning school is canceled for a limited number of available spots that will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Kids Club will operate from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Kearney Elementary on those days.

If your child in grades K-5 will need before/after school care, or you’re looking ahead to summer and fall options, here’s a quick, calendar-friendly overview of Kids Club enrollment. All registration links will open at 9 a.m. on the dates listed below.
Summer Expedition Camp
- Dates: July 6–31
- Cost: $700

- Dates: June 1–June 25 (No school June 19)

Care schedule:
- Mon–Thurs: before/after school care
- All-day care Fridays: June 5 and June 12
- Hours: 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Enrollment window:
- Current families: April 6–10

- After the enrollment window for current families closes, we may not be able to guarantee a spot, so we encourage families to register early.

Kids Club Tuition Rates
Kearney School District is updating Kids Club tuition rates for the 2026-2027 academic year. Kids Club provides before- and afterschool care for KSD families on days when school is in session.
Payment Schedule
Kids Club tuition will be divided into nine payments for the school year. The first payment is due Aug. 15, 2026. After that, payments are due on the first day of each month from October through May.
