We need your feedback to help ensure the ongoing excellence of our schools

Great schools and a great community are built together. Kearney School District is beginning a public engagement process focused on school finance, long-range facility planning and the future of our schools. This work will help KSD share clear information, listen to families and residents and prepare the Board of Education to make informed decisions later this year.

What We Are Doing

  • School Finance Literacy – KSD will share plain-language information about how public schools are funded, how local tax dollars are used and what choices are available to the district.
  • Long-Range Facilities Planning – KSD is reviewing the buildings, systems and spaces our students, staff and community use every day so the district can plan responsibly for future needs.
  • Community Input – Families, staff members, residents and community partners will have opportunities to ask questions, share priorities and provide feedback before final decisions are made.
  • Our Commitment – KSD will share facts in plain language, listen carefully and use community input before the Board of Education makes any final decision.
