Homecoming Week was about much more than parades, football and school spirit this year. Our Bulldogs also found an opportunity to give back.
Kearney High School’s Service Day Committee organized a food collection throughout the week, with donations gathered through Bulldog Time, athletic events and participation from other KSD schools. Together, students, staff, families and community members donated nearly 1,000 items to help support local families.
The collection included hundreds of items that can be used for Thanksgiving meal kits, along with canned goods, pasta, rice, cereal, soup, peanut butter and jelly, and other pantry staples.
Thank you to the students who led this effort, the staff members who supported them and everyone who contributed. This is Bulldog spirit at its best: coming together, serving others and strengthening our community.
