Bulldog Homecoming Parade Ready to Roll Through Downtown Kearney

One of Kearney School District’s favorite Homecoming traditions returns tomorrow as Bulldogs of all ages take over downtown Kearney for the 2026 KHS Homecoming Parade.

The parade will begin at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, just east of the railroad tracks, and follow the traditional downtown parade route, and conclude at the First Baptist Church parking lot. Community members are encouraged to line the route and help us celebrate our students, schools and Bulldog spirit.

With a large crowd expected, please plan to arrive early and allow extra time to find parking before the parade begins.

KSD is also closely monitoring Friday’s weather forecast. At this time, we plan to move forward with the parade as scheduled unless weather conditions make it unsafe to do so. If conditions require us to make a different decision, KSD will communicate that information widely through our usual channels. We expect any such decision to be made by mid-morning Friday.

We look forward to seeing our community downtown for one of the best traditions of Homecoming Week.
