Feed Northland Kids Partnership Supports KSD Families

A strong community shows up for its families, and the first Feed Northland Kids drive-thru food pantry of the school year was a wonderful example of that support in action.

The first distribution served 28 Kearney School District families, with every family who signed up participating. Each household received two to three bags of shelf-stable food, along with milk, bread, eggs, fresh produce and frozen chicken. Two families who did not have transportation also received front-door delivery.

This year, the partnership has the capacity to provide monthly food support to up to 30 families.

Thank you to Feed Northland Kids and everyone who helped organize, pack and distribute food to make this resource available to KSD students and families. Partnerships like this are one more way our community helps ensure students have the support they need to thrive.
