Summer School Learning Takes Flight!

Southview and Hawthorne fourth- and fifth-graders put their learning into action today by launching rockets they designed and built as part of a Project Based Learning experience in Michael Wernimont’s Summer School class. Students gathered on the Kearney High School practice field to test their creations, collect data and see their hard work take flight. It was a high-flying way to bring science, engineering and problem-solving together!
