Summer School Students Power Up Their Learning

Kearney School District students put their “Exploring Electricity” lessons to the test this week!
After wiring up their model homes in Michael Wernimont’s middle school summer school science class, students had the opportunity to share their completed projects with team members from Platte-Clay Electric Cooperative. Our guests inspected the model homes, talked with students about their work and helped connect the classroom learning to the real-world systems that keep our communities powered every day.
This was such a fun example of hands-on learning in action. Students were building, testing, troubleshooting and explaining their thinking, which is exactly the kind of experience that helps science come alive.
Thank you to Platte-Clay Electric Cooperative for supporting our students, and great work, Bulldogs!
