It’s National School Counseling Week, and we’re grateful for the counselors who show up every day to support our Bulldogs, academically, socially and emotionally. This year’s national theme is “School Counselors: Amplifying Student Success,” and that certainly fits what we see across our schools. 

Today, we want to give a well-deserved shoutout to our elementary counselors: Elaine Tyner at Kearney Elementary, LeAnna Wilcox at Hawthorne Elementary, Becky Arway at Dogwood Elementary, and Meg Yarkosky at Southview Elementary. Thank you for serving our Bulldogs and for being the calm, steady, encouraging presence so many students (and adults!) count on.

We’ll continue the celebration all week, including recognizing our counselors at Kearney Middle School on Tuesday, Kearney Junior High on Wednesday, and Kearney High School on Thursday. If you see one of our counselors this week, please take a moment to say thanks. They make a real difference in the success of our Bulldogs!
