Parent volunteers are a tremendous resource to each of our schools and district-wide. We sincerely appreciate our Bulldog Volunteers and all they do to help support the staff and students. Volunteering not only helps the school district, but it helps volunteers and their students as well.

When you volunteer you:

  • Set an example for students about giving back
  • Get to know more teachers, administrators and other parents
  • Get a better understanding of your child’s daily schedule and activities

Research shows that involving families in schools leads to increased student achievement.

We are looking for parents, grandparents, guardians, caregivers, family friends or anyone with an interest in volunteering at our schools. If you are interested and want more information about becoming a volunteer, please contact Kim Kern at kernk@ksdr1.net or at 816-520-5976.

In order to keep our children safe, all volunteers must go through a screening process. Our Volunteer Information Packet provides the documents volunteers need to fill out in order to start the process of becoming a Bulldog Volunteer. Volunteers are important to the success of the Kearney School District, and we greatly appreciate the service to our schools.
