Dear KSD Families,
canceled school in 2015 due to the celebrations of the World Series, we had no
idea just four years later we would be in the same position with the Chiefs and
a Super Bowl Championship! A moment many of us have waited 50 years for is
certainly a reason to celebrate! A celebration of this magnitude including a
Super Bowl parade comes with a variety of challenges for the district including
student attendance concerns and a shortage of staff substitutes.
joining other Kansas City metro area school districts and will cancel classes
on Wednesday, February 5. Kids Club will also be closed. This will be treated
like an inclement weather day. Activities and practices will be evaluated and
notification will be sent to families when available.

Elementary Level Schools (K-5) will begin in person daily. Secondary Level Schools (Grades 6-12) will begin on a hybrid schedule with A Days (Last Names A-K) and B Days (Last Names L-Z).
