On Wednesday, the Board of Education and the NAACP – Kansas City Branch signed a collaborative and good faith agreement. This agreement is for the purpose of promoting community partnerships, to instill and enhance public trust and confidence and to build a peaceful and safe community. It is the goal of KSD to be a model district and community for progressive change. Signing this agreement is a milestone for the district, and the work will continue into the future. Members of the NAACP spoke about the progress that has been made and look forward to continued growth.
Board President Mark Kelly stated, “I am proud of our district for participating in this and looking forward to an ongoing relationship with the NAACP and progressing accordingly.”
