On Tuesday, April 4, 2017, the Kearney School District (KSD) community voted to approve a $27 million bond issue. The bond was overwhelmingly approved with an 84% “Yes” vote. KSD wants to sincerely thank the district community for the outpouring of support shown throughout this process.
LATEST CONSTRUCTION UPDATE:
Construction in the district is in multiple phases ranging from completed, nearly completed, and still in progress for completion. District office faculty moved into the Kearney Early Education Center at the end of the 2017-2018 school year. Renovations on the second floor of Kearney Middle School are nearing completion and should be ready for students and staff to utilize in late August. Lastly, Kearney High School will be ready for business in phases. Areas A (Science and High School Office) and Area B (Fine Arts) will be ready for staff and students to start the school year. Area C (Career and Technology Education Classrooms and Gymnasium) will be ready for students, staff, and athletic competitions in early December.

Kearney Early Education Center (EEC)
Construction has been completed on the Early Education Center.

Installation of the soft play material for the elementary playgrounds has been completed.
The estimated construction completion date for the middle school facilities improvements is August 2018.
The estimated construction completion date for all of the high school is Winter 2018.
